Sentry Integration

The Sentry integration for Asana is currently broken and is not available to install on new Sentry projects.

If I understand correctly, this is because the existing integration was built on what Sentry’s legacy integration platform, which is deprecated, and it’s on Asana to build a new integration.

This page from Asana’s documentation implies that the integration is currently available, but it is not.

The comments on this GitHub issue have some more context.

Sentry provides documentation for building a new public integration.

Welcome, @jamesbvaughan, and sorry to hear this.

I think your best bet might be to report this to Support and ask them about the potential for an update to the integration or, at a minimum, updating the listing. See How to contact our Support Team.

Thanks,

Larry

For anyone else who comes across this thread looking for the current status of the Sentry<>Asana integration, I reached out to Asana support and they’ve said that it’s Sentry’s responsibility to create the integration, but in that GitHub issue that I’ve linked, Sentry has said it’s Asana’s responsibility.

Update: I’ve received another response from Asana and they again pointed me back to Sentry:

I can confirm that any apps that is not listed in the Made by Asana section, we do not support or are able to assist with as we did not build them.

According to their landing page, they say for any inquiries to reach out via this form: Submit a request – Sentry Help Center

I’ll go ahead and reach out to Sentry support like they suggested, although I’m not optimistic since Sentry has already stated that it’s Asana’s responsibility. I’ll continue posting updates here for visibility.

Update: I’ve received further confirmation from Sentry’s support that they will not build an integration with Asana:

There are no plans to build this public integration on our end, it will have to be something that Asana decides to build.
