I want to send a message or reminder to anyone who is listed as a project owner in a portfolio. the message must be able to include a link to information that tells them how to update the project status. I would also prefer to add a condition to only message owners of projects that are active.
I tried a portfolio rule and that did not work.
I looked into portfolio messages but it looked like anyone shared to that portfolio would get the message and that can’t happen.
I do not want to create a task for each person every 30 days since it could be up to 20 people who need to update status.
any tips would be great!
Hey @Jen_Smith one thing off the top of my head is that you could go into your “Share” settings in the portfolio, to the right of “Who has access” there’s a “Manage Notifications” link. Inside there you can enable only the project owners that you want to be notified about portfolio messages and then disable the rest. Would that work?
Another idea is that you could create a team within your organization of just those project owners, share the team to that portfolio rather than individuals, and then only enable the team to receive messages in that portfolio from the same menu.
