I know the send email via Outlook automation is very new and don’t get me wrong, I am VERY excited about it. I finally had a chance to test it this morning and was very pleased with the ability to add variables from custom fields and select the recipient from a custom field. Game changing functionality!
One opportunity for improvement I see is to allowing formatting of the body of the email. I tested formatting with HTML code and that does appear to work, but I must confess that I am less than a novice with HTML coding. I could figure it out, I know, but I also want my teammates to be able to use this incredible tool and don’t want them to run into the formatting roadblock, as well.
For context, before testing HTLM coding to get the format, whenever I simply typed in the body and used general email formatting like
Hello [name],
Test email body
Signature …
It came out like
Hello [name],Test email body. Signature …
Just basic functionality like line/paragraph breaks and bold would go so far in making this extremely beneficial and user friendly for our team.
Thanks for being open to feedback, as always!
