Rules don't run on new tasks created via "Duplicate task" function

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
I have a number of rules that run on a specific project, all of which modify new tasks when created on that project. None of the rules execute as expected if a new task is created by duplicating an existing card, though.

Steps to reproduce:

  • In any project, create a rule to modify new cards added to the project (e.g., assign the card to a specific user)
  • Create a new task by clicking “New task” and see the rule execute properly
  • Open the new task you just created, and go to Duplicate Task
  • See that the rule does not execute properly on the second new task

Hi @anon38332847 and thank you so much fo reaching out!

This is actually an expected behaviour at the moment, but hopefully something we can improve in the future! Sounds like a great opportunity to create a new #productfeedback thread
