Restrict team members from deleting tasks but allows them to add and update tasks

There is not a role that allows team members to create and modify tasks in a project but restricts them from being able to delete anything. Has anyone needed this level of access and found a workaround?

User permissions have improved significantly throughout the years, but this is one additonal nuance that could benefit many users.
