Reïnstall the “send (private) message functionallity” - starting from a task (hover function)
It seems … again, this feature disappeared from asana… !
This is the most useful feature… and the reason we started with asana instead of other project software…
Is it possible to put it back ?

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We are currently working to improve the user hovercard. With the recent redesign we are experimenting, the ability to start new Messages was removed. You can still start new messages from the + Create button in the sidebar
As a workaround, as Larry mentioned, you can use the option to create Follow-up tasks directly from inbox notifications or tasks.

This is not a good solution !
The hover over function made it possible to send direct message, concerning the taks, without creating new tasks, or without annoying all other collaborators… that did not have anything to do with the message…
So the hover over function on the person really is necessary…
This was already an issue a few months ago… than it was solved, and now the problem is back.
The send direct message possibility is really necessary to work efficently… the new hovercard does not contain the possibility to send a direct message…

Exactly. A new task could be an option only if there’s no messaging in Asana. Even then, a @task link from where it’s created is necessary anyway.

It’s the same for us, we did use the function on the hover card on a daily basis.
Using the regular message option is not a good alternative.

We urgently need this feature back… Asana is really less efficient now with the loss of this feature !

This is a functionallity that really is missing now…
Is there any updated information about this… This great feature has been removed for months now… and this is a big problem … because it was the best way to communicate 1 on 1, when having a task with multiple collaborators…
Anyone any updates ??
