With the recent update, we are finding that a person needs to actually be a follow of an individual Asana project in order to complete subtasks, which is a serious disadvantage to the way we do our work. Can this be reversed or undone somehow without adding every single team member to every single Asana project?
@Rebecca_McGrath @Emily_Roman which update would that relate to? thanks
Thanks for looking into this!
Hi @Amber_Snow, welcome to the Asana Community forum
The inability for users to complete subtasks is not the result of a recent update. Could you please confirm what type of permissions these users have? If this is a comment-only project, it is expected that the users cannot complete tasks/subtasks.
Looking forward to hearing back from you
Hi Rebecca, Thanks for the reply! Something definitely changed within Asana recently, around the same time as the color scheme update. We have been using Asana for 5 years at our company. I’ve checked to ensure that the users have edit permission to the appropriate sections where projects live in Asana. I’ve even tried removing them and re-adding them, and they are still unable to mark off the subtasks like everyone has been able to in the past, unless they are added to the individual project.
I believe we have found the issue and rectified on our end. Thank you for your help. If this pops up again I’ll comment here!
Happy to hear that you’ve gotten to the source on your end, @Amber_Snow! Please feel free to reach out if you need anything else from us
