Recent change to screen focus in My Tasks?

Was there a recent change to the My Tasks screen for when a task is moved between the various sections? I frequently move tasks between the sections on this screen (for instance, from “Today” to “Later”); often, I do this with multiple tasks at a time (like if I am pushing back several tasks that were marked “Today” to do them later).

Until recently this was easy to do; updating a task moved it to the other section and I could move onto the next one. However, sometime recently this changed, and now when you move a task the entire screen focus shifts, to the new section where the task is. So, for instance, when I move a task from “Today” to “Later”, my screen immediately jumps all the way down to the “Later” section

This is very disruptive, because I then get lost on the My Tasks screen, and have to scroll all the way back up to “Today” to get back to where I need to be. I can’t think of a use case where this would be helpful, since it seems much less likely you would want to move a task from one section to another and then immediately jump to a section.

Is there a way to change this back?

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to My Tasks
  2. Select a task in “Today” or any other section
  3. Click on the section, or use Tab+U or Tab+Y, to change the section
  4. The entire screen will shift focus to the other section

I actually just tested this again and seem to get inconsistent results; it happens when I move a task from Today to Upcoming but not Today to Later, for instance.

We have seen this as well with @Arthur_BEGOU, and we believe it acts differently if the task is opened on the right hand side or not

Hi @Jon_Flowers

Indeed, we have seen the same.
I’ve added my vote (don’t forget to add yours by clicking on top left). :wink:

@Bastien_Siebman
Indeed, that happens if you use that button

… but not if you use the task panel
