Hi
The portfolio frame showing workload is good, but doesn’t let me see how this relates to the actual time. I would love an overlay showing both.
In an attempt to use Power BI instead to generate a custom report to fulfil the need. Unfortunately, when I do this, I only seem to get the actual time, but not the estimated time. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to get the “task estimated time” as well as the “task actual time” in Power BI?
Cheers
Brendan
Hi Brendan,
I understand you’re looking to have a more comprehensive view of workload in relation to actual time and estimated time. Power BI can be a powerful tool for this, but it does have its limitations when pulling data from Asana. One thing you could try is to explore different data connectors or plugins that might offer more granularity in the data you can import into Power BI.
However, if you’re still not getting the results you want, a custom integration might be the solution you’re looking for. At Rally Essentials, we specialize in creating custom Asana integrations that can pull both “task estimated time” and “task actual time” into Power BI or any other reporting tool you’re using. This way, you can have a more detailed and tailored report that meets your specific needs.
If you’d like to discuss this further and explore custom solutions, feel free to reach out to me at connor@rallyessentials.com.
Best regards,
Connor from Rally Essentials
