Portfolio dashboards view in MS Teams Channels

:light_bulb: Tip: When posting a question in the Asana Forum, please try to include:

  1. I need to have portfolio Dashboard view available in MS Teams channel. for easy and fast access to portfolio metrics for leadership.
  2. I found how to link project to teams channel, google says that portfolios can not be linked to MS Teams Channels
  3. is there any work around?

Hey Anna, I hear you. Having a portfolio dashboard right in a Teams channel would make leadership check-ins way easier.

Today, the Teams app supports projects and tasks, not portfolios. A couple of workarounds I’ve used:

  1. Add a Website tab in your Teams channel and paste the portfolio dashboard URL from Asana. Folks will need to sign in once, then it loads in the tab.

  2. If your leaders mostly need a quick snapshot, you can share portfolio status updates by email and send them to the channel’s email address so they show up in the thread.

Teams opens the website in a browser instead of Teams tab - this is a problem from Leadership that access information mostly from Teams.

it contradicts with an intention to provide Leadership self-service access for portfolio information without extra communication.
