Placeholder Projects in Capacity Plans

Similarly to how we can currently allocate resources using placeholders for people, I think it would be great to have the ability to create placeholders for projects.

The problem with the current Capacity Plan feature is that you have to create an actual project in Asana in order to allocate resources to it. But in some (if not most) cases, you may not know if the ‘campaign’ will be approved to launch or if the ‘opportunity’ is closed and won or not. So it may not yet make sense to create the project at that early stage of capacity planning. Let alone, if you are using a project template with roles, you may likely not know the people who will actually be involved at this early stage either.

For these reasons, it would be ideal to create placeholders for projects (as well as people) so that we can be enabled to ‘sketch’ out allocations for projects that may likely take off or not. Then, once that project is approved for example, it would be great to have the ability to replace that placeholder project by creating an actual project in it’s place, either a blank project or based of a template, as per the current project creation modal. If the project does not take off, we could archive that project allocation perhaps?
