Per-project filtering for personal Slack notifications

Currently, personal Slack notifications from the Asana integration are all-or-nothing — you either receive notifications for every task you collaborate on across all projects, or you turn them off entirely via /asana settings.

I’d like the ability to mute personal Slack notifications on a per-project basis. For example, I collaborate on tasks in a high-volume operational project where I’m a follower on hundreds of tasks. The constant Slack notifications from that one project drown out notifications from other projects where I actually need real-time alerts.

Today my only options are:

  • Turn off all personal Slack notifications and lose visibility on projects I care about
  • Manually unfollow every task in the noisy project, which doesn’t scale and removes me from Asana inbox notifications too
  • Mute the entire Asana bot in Slack, which defeats the purpose of the integration

A per-project toggle in /asana settings (or in the project’s notification settings) that controls whether personal Slack notifications are sent for tasks in that project would solve this. The existing linked

Same issue with Teams integration. It’s entirely unhelpful to get every single piece of commentary, and no way to filter/select which I want to receive.
