Currently, personal Slack notifications from the Asana integration are all-or-nothing — you either receive notifications for every task you collaborate on across all projects, or you turn them off entirely via /asana settings.
I’d like the ability to mute personal Slack notifications on a per-project basis. For example, I collaborate on tasks in a high-volume operational project where I’m a follower on hundreds of tasks. The constant Slack notifications from that one project drown out notifications from other projects where I actually need real-time alerts.
Today my only options are:
- Turn off all personal Slack notifications and lose visibility on projects I care about
- Manually unfollow every task in the noisy project, which doesn’t scale and removes me from Asana inbox notifications too
- Mute the entire Asana bot in Slack, which defeats the purpose of the integration
A per-project toggle in /asana settings (or in the project’s notification settings) that controls whether personal Slack notifications are sent for tasks in that project would solve this. The existing linked
