Pages are slow to load high latency

Thanks, @Emily_Roman it seems to me something is breaking with WebSocket connectivity here. Since project pages will no longer show live updates. Inbox as well. Refreshing F5 solves temporarily.

Regarding the matter at hand,

  1. I contacted support yesterday. I am currently awaiting a response from them.
  2. The issue in question has been present since the beginning of October. Prior to that, I recall there were no problems.

This is a reference report regarding my two PCs (one for office use, the other for travel).
Today, both seem to be functioning perfectly normally.
I believe there have been no significant changes to the network environment or browser settings since yesterday. Additionally, other systems such as Outlook appear to be operating without any notable alterations.

Thanks, @Emily_Roman.

I continue to have problems that are very sporadic, but ongoing, for the past maybe two weeks, which coincides with @anon60007830’s report of it starting around the beginning of the month.

I’ve also seen a few examples of pages not updating in Asana as @Michael_B reports. Never saw that before in many years.

Support continues to ask me questions but nothing from it so far; also onging.

Thanks,

Larry

Since last weekend, I have felt that the issue has been resolved.
Today, too, things are proceeding smoothly, barring yesterday’s AWS outage.

@Emily_Roman anything back on this? Our users are all constantly needing to refresh Asana multiple times throughout the day. Affecting search, project display, Inbox, on and on. It’s starting to drive everyone a little nutty ha.

Hi @Michael_B, apologies for the delay here!

To help our team look into the errors, please open this link which will open Asana with additional performance logging enabled > attempt to reproduce the issue > then close Asana. You should not continue to work without reloading Asana, otherwise it will be harder for us to tell exactly what the problem was.

Let me know when you complete the steps please! Thank you!

@Emily_Roman just had first issue 10/23/25 at 8:22AM PT. Was scrolling through tasks in inbox. Everything looked ok. Clicked into the search bar and just thinking and thinking. Couldn’t search anything. Opened another task, and a subtask in that. And then returned to search. could search again. Didn’t F5 refresh.

Thanks @Michael_B! just confirmed the info to our product team!

Thanks @Emily_Roman looking forward to an update. It may be good also to retitle the post. It’s really less about latency and more about connection dying. If you have a project up and leave it up long enough, then click into a new task (or a subtask) the page just shows the loading animation. It stops being able to get new information or update. Then can’t search either in the search bar. The session just dies.

Hi @Michael_B, our product team has implemented a fix for this issue and we can see improvements in our metrics as well.

Feel free to let us know if you are still experiencing issues!

Great! I wonder if Support will follow up with any of us who reported this problem but they never acknowledged it was a known issue or, now, that there’s a fix we could be on the lookout for?

Thanks,

Larry

Support did follow up with me just now corroborating what @Emily_Roman wrote, so that’s good!

Thanks,

Larry
