One Forum account per Asana account?!

Recently, I did a split of my personal and work Asana accounts as advised by a notification in the app, it made my experience slightly worse as described here: I wish working with two accounts was as seamless as it was before account split but there’s also one other problem that I noticed today: logging in to this forum is dependent on which workspace I’m currently using in app.asana.com.

Specifically, I have interacted with this forum as borekb@gmail.com but today, when I was logged in in the app to my work account bernard@shoptet.cz and visited forum.asana.com, I was logged out and when I clicked “Sight in”, without any user interaction I was created a brand new Forums account for bernard@shoptet.cz:

So this is an extra layer of inconvenience – I now even can’t log in to my main Forums account when I’m doing work things in the main Asana app.

@Borek_Bernard - Because the forum uses single-sign on from your Asana account, the account you most recently logged into will be used when you visit the forum.

Because, to my knowledge, the forum doesn’t yet have the smooth-ish option for switching between multiple accounts, as you’ve already discovered, you have three options to make sure you’re in the right forum account:

1. Be sure to select the right Asana account before opening the forum
2. Create different Chrome profiles for each Asana account and this will allow you to stay signed into one account in one window and the other account in a 2nd chrome window
3. or, use a browser that enables multiple logins, like wavebox.io (that’s what I use). You can have adjacent tabs logged into different accounts in the same browser.
