The new navigation / sidebar automatically expands when closing out of Customize, Automations, opening new tabs, etc. It would be great to have an option in user settings → Navigation preferences to default to expanded or hidden navigation.
Issue: if the navigation was hidden on a page, it should not expand when closing out of the Customize menu, Automations, CF Library, etc. If you try to hide the navigation with Customize or Automations open, it closes those menus also. Either way, multiple clicks to get back to the way your page was. For example, having split tabs, you might want navigation to be hidden to give more space to editing something in Customize and maximize your screen space, but the system defaults make you reset your page view every time you close out of Customize now.
