Asana has lots of articles and mentions of sprints, agile, etc.
But when it comess to action everything needs to be set up manually - it would be nice to have native sprints and sprint reporting.
As of now the reports don’t support the standard sprint reports.
Yes! This is the one feature that is causing the biggest headache and will likely force us to have to move all our work to Jira or some other system… Sprints have helped us show upper management that we need more team members to help with the workload. Ever since we implemented sprints (about 2 years ago) we’ve doubled the number of employees we have. Before sprints, we maybe added 1 employee every 2-3 years.
We currently manage our sprints in Jira because of it’s automations and fantastic reporting. We manage our projects and campaigns in Asana. It’s a pain to manage tasks in two different systems… I was recently instructed to trial sprints in Asana but there is so much manual effort to managing the sprints and creating the desired reports. I love Asana and want so badly for it to have a good sprint system.
Personally, I don’t have a high level of understanding of SPRINT, so this is just a reference opinion.
At this point, I think it’s quite difficult to compare Asana and Jira, considering their respective strengths and weaknesses. (As the saying goes, “leave it to the experts.”)
But perhaps this article will be helpful.
