Hi @dgraid and thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us! If you haven’t yet, I’d highly encourage you to share this feedback with our team via this form!
Totally agree with you here. The Asana inbox is mission critical for me, and this update has dramatically slowed it down. I estimate it takes up to 4x longer to process my inbox as a result of exactly what you describe. I really hope this is resolved.
@Marie, am I using Inbox differently to everyone else? I fail to see how the new inbox is useful when you can’t read the comments at all. What is the use case suggested by Asana? Literally click on it, scroll to the bottom, then go back? Thanks!
Hi @Justin_Stafford, thanks for sharing your feedback!
@Thilo_Roscheisen has reported this bug here: iOS App Inbox Updates don't jump to last comment. I have sent the report to our development team and I’ll keep the bug report updated as soon as I have any updates. Thanks again and sorry for the trouble!
Thanks @Emily_Roman, however that’s not the issue. The root issue is that I can’t see the full comments in the inbox. I would love the old inbox back.
Out of interest why the change? I can’t see the benefit.
By the way, as much as I’m frustrated, please know that I’m a huge Asana fan. It’s now absolutely central to our business and I am constantly recommending it to business contacts.
Hi @Justin_Stafford, no problem at all! I understand! We appreciate you feedback and I encourage you to send your use case and feedback to our product team via this form!
The new inbox improves scan-ability for Inbox users, addressing the “content lacks clarity” feedback we received and identified in our user researches.
We are always trying to improve and we’d love hearing what you think in order to take it into consideration as final touches and tweaks are made. Thanks again!
Still nothing. Am I the VERY last company to be upgraded?
I don’t have an Expand button on my Inbox. Is it only on the paid versions?
The same here But we received a mail that it will be integrated within the next week… I will see
Just happened this morning, at first glance I liked it
Hi all,
Good news, the new Inbox is now available to 100% of our existing customers We also released a new blog article and video tutorial in which we’re sharing some tips and best practice to work with your Inbox!
We hope that you’ll enjoy this new update, and if you have any feedback, make sure to share it with our team via this form!
Just got the update today. Really, really need a way to revert back to the old version.
- Make split screen optional. Making it split screen only takes a way a feature; it doesn’t add one.
- Make “Completed” checkmark bigger. As a Project Manager, I have many dependencies on completed tasks, and now I have to search to see if it’s been completed or if it’s just an update.
- Again, make split screen optional. Screen size matters.
- Always, please always, include an option to revert to old format. I have a busy day ahead of me and now have to slow down to learn a new feature. There should always be an option to revert.
Yes, finally. I literally must have been at the very end of the line for this.
@Marie really like this new look!! Easy to pick up new features.
- The mark unread is very handy.
- Not sure what the ALL does as it doesn’t toggle on/off for me
- VERY much would the @mentioned to be a selector. Often I know someone mentioned someone else that I need to follow up on.
- I wouldn’t mind a bump notification on tasks. Much like for requesting a project Progress update from the owner. The hover that shows Archive, Mark as Unread, and Followup, add one for Ask Assignee for Status.
- I wouldn’t mind a filter for Assigned to as a PM I often leave items in my Inbox as reminders of followups. It would be handy to filter by assignee when I am meeting with that person.
It lacks a “filter by project”.
Without it you have no tool to focus yourself on new activities of a specific project. As a PM following dozen of proects it would be an essential feature.
After all the negative comments I expected it worse. But after several days/weeks I got used to it.
I highly recommend to use the Shortkeys like “E” to archive the inbox notifications
