Make a copy feature

Hello everyone,

I am trying to duplicate the list view/tab wihtin a project to be able to have different views/tasks list with different columns. Unfortunately, once i use the ‘Make a copy’ feature, the tasks in the original version get modified automatically once i change/modify the tasks in the new copy.

Any suggestions?

Even while adding a new tab ‘List tab’ samething happens. All modifications applied in the new tab will be reflected to the original main tab.

I think what you are looking for is to duplicate the project which is done from the dropdown action menu (from the project title). That is how you can achieve a new list with different tasks and fields.

The List view tab that you are making a copy of, is just a saved view tab, which can be simply configured with preset filters, sorts, hidden columns, etc - essentially the layout and the content shown can be different, but the tasks will ALL live in that project and will also inherit ALL the fields within that project, even if not all fields are shown in a particular List view. So when you open a tasks details, you will see all fields within the project, inherited by the task.
