List of templates not up-to-date when convert task to project using a template

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing: List of templates not up-to-date when convert task to project using a template

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create few templates
  • Create a project with a task
  • Select the task and chose convert to project
  • Select using a template
  • Open the liste of template : this list do not includes all the available template of the workspace (neither of the team)

Browser version: Chrome Version 111.0.5563.65

Welcome back, @Fabien_Moreno,

I just followed your reproduction steps and I cannot get your error to occur.

Is there any chance you don’t have access rights to some of these templates?

Can you see the templates when you go to create a new project from a template directly (not from converting a task)?

Have you tried Asana supported browsers and troubleshooting steps | Product guide • Asana Product Guide?

Perhaps @Vanessa_N will reply here, or you can try reporting to support@asana.com.

Hello
It looks like there is a clear issue.
I have updated my browser and tried to connect in incognito mode as well.
Looks like only old template version are listed in the dropdown.
I am owner and with full access to teams and template.
I am able to use the template while creating a new project.
Can you please investigate my account ?
Regards,

Please email support@asana.com who will have access to help you.

Thanks,

Larry

Hello,

Did you manage to solve this issue ?
I have the same problem.

Thank You

Hi - was there a workaround for this issue as we have encountered that same. We have the option to use old templates but none of our newer templates are showing. Any advice you can provide would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Christine

@Christine_OSullivan (and others) - try searching for a complete word from the template (e.g., if the template is called Marketing Projects, search “Marketing” in the dropdown). By default, the dropdown only surfaces a few results and it does not respect partial-word search terms (so if you started typing “Mark”, you would not see the Marketing Projects template).
