Limit Date Selection in Forms

Hello @Asana_Technology_Tea ,

I hope this finds you well. Can you please provide an ETA of when we can hope to see blackout dates as a feature within form submissions?

Thank you for your help!

Asana doesn’t communicate on the roadmap, like most apps in the same sector, you won’t get an ETA.

Hi, I’d like to reiterate how helpful this feature would be. We currently have an 8-week backlog on requests via our Asana form and do not want to allow new requestors to select a date earlier than 8 weeks out on the form. We note this in the text of the due date question, but the requestor still has the ability to add whatever due date they choose and we have to manually update it in the task list after the form submission. I see that there is an opportunity in Rules to automatically add a certain numbers of days to any due date the requestor submits via the form, but that could get messy quickly. More functionality and upfront control with the due date question in forms would be a huge help. Thanks!

Hello, I have several date fields on my forms and I would like to ensure that users cannot select a Date that is less that 1 week from today.

Is this possible?

Hi @Shane_Desousa and welcome to the forum,

Unfortunately it’s not currently possible to limit date selections on a form.

I’ve merged your post with an existing thread for this request. Be sure to vote for it via the purple “Vote” button at the top of the thread!

Seems like this has been a long time request. Is there a way to Turbo Upvote this?

This is really a big must have in our department as well. :pray:t4:

@Yvette_Ledesma the only known way: get as many upvote here as possible, and have every client reach out to their dedicated sales rep to have a Voice of Customer submitted.

Still waiting for this feature. Please Please Please add.

This would 100% solve so many issues in our briefing!

I agree, restricting date fields for forms would be super helpful. Would also be great if there was a way to connect it with workload and lead times on that project.

Meaning if the submitter is selecting a timeframe (i.e. week) where all teammates are maxed out on bandwidth, then the dates gray out (or something to this effect) and the submitter is unable to select that timeframe.
