I’m learning all about agile project management as we’re adopting in our org. I’m also working a lot with AI Studio, which I want to integrate into these processes.
I was debating between a single sprint focus project, where I move tasks from the roadmap project, turn them into milestones, and convert their subtasks into tasks. Then I move through the process of moving those tasks from a Backlog section to an In Progress section.
Now I’m thinking I would have been better to create smaller, individual projects for each task from the roadmap, when they are ready for sprint focus.
When I do that, I’d really like to convert the main task to a milestone and all its subtasks to tasks and move them to a Task Backlog section. I can’t seem to get that to work, and I wonder if anyone else has figured that out.
If there’s no way to do it, that would be an awesome feature to add in.
That sounds like a smart approach—breaking tasks into individual sprint projects makes sense, and converting main tasks to milestones with subtasks as tasks would definitely streamline the workflow
That’s an interesting one. Beware that there is a lot of snake oil out there when it comes to agility.
You mention sprints, but you don’t mention sprint goals. This makes me unsure of whether you are doing Scrum or something else.
I feel I’d have to know a bit more about your practice/process to advise you on how to do this in Asana. And it’s a bit much to figure out over the forum.
As I’m also trying to determine what the best way is to do Scrum in Asana. (by the book) This way I’d be able to share this with the rest of the community. So I’d be happy to setup a free call to see if I can help you, as I’m expecting this is a win-win. Reach out over DM if that’d work for you.
