Keyboard shortcuts to quickly move My Tasks across sections no longer work

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
The shortcuts to move My Tasks to Today, Upcoming or Later sections (Tab+Y, Tab+U, Tab+L respectively) no longer work
Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to My Tasks
2. Select a task
3. User keyboard shortcut to move the task to a different section, example Tab+U for Upcoming
4. Task will not move, instead a dropdown that requires further interaction will show

Browser version: Version 91.0.4472.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)

This is not a bug as such but related to the New My Task view.

There has been a partial fix put in place that Asana is still working through…

Hi @David_Ruder, thanks for reaching out. As part of the new My Tasks, custom Rules have been rolled out to My Tasks () meaning the Tab-Y, Tab-U, and Tab-L shortcuts are no longer in use. You can now use two different keyboard shortcuts to quickly move tasks that are assigned to you between the sections in your My Tasks. Use Tab-Y when the task pane is open and the task is assigned to you to open the section mover menu for your My Tasks. Use Tab-U when you have one or more tasks selec…

So you are saying that, a common operation that used to require 1 keypress now requires a sequence of 5 key presses and I should take that as an expected behavior because new view have custom rules?

I like custom rules but as nice and as it is, custom rules as a feature cannot replace manually sorting a bunch of tasks recently assign to me. Sometimes conditions are to complex to be automated

Hi @Ali_AlBarrak Yes unfortunately. But they are working towards improving this experience.

Yes agree it is disappointing that we have lost that easy functionality of the Keyboard shortcuts.
