Keep record of deleted attachments

While you can see when an attachment has been added in the activity feed and inbox, there is no record of when it has been deleted. This means that you might find that an attachment you thought you had added is missing.

Since attachments can be deleted even by users with comment-only privileges, accidental deletions or deletions that go unnoticed can occur. Therefore, I would like to see a deletion history recorded.

+1, this is a real blind spot. Attachment deletions don’t show in the activity feed at all, deletion is instant and permanent, and as you say, even comment-only members can do it.

Until Asana adds an audit record, the practical workarounds are linking files from Drive/Dropbox instead of uploading directly, or keeping an external backup so you have both a copy and a record of what existed. If you’re interested in the latter, then check out ProBackup for Asana (disclaimer: I work there). We’ve received similar complaints from other Asana users in our inbox.
