Recover Deleted Attachments

Currently, there seems to be no way to recover files that have been directly attached to a task. However, since accidental deletions can occur, it would be very helpful if recovery became possible.

+1 this would indeed be great.

Just to clarify: deleted tasks go to trash and can be recovered for a while, but deleting an attachment directly is instant and permanent, support can’t get those back either. Until that changes, the only real protection is keeping copies outside Asana. Attach Drive/Dropbox links instead of uploads where you can, or use a backup tool that grabs attachments. (Disclaimer: I work on ProBackup, which does the latter)
