Issue with task identification in Outlook emails

Hi there,

The Asana add-in in Outlook has been identifying potential tasks in the body of emails by colouring the text blue with a dotted line underneath. This makes it really easy to create a task based on the content of the email which has been really helpful. However, recently we have noticed that this task suggestion cannot be removed when needed. We have one instance where the task suggested was over a hyperlink, clicking on the hyperlink could only initiate a task creation and we could not click on the link, instead we had to click on forward on the email so the Asana task link disappeared and copy the hyperlink in the original text.

It would be great to be able to right click on a suggested task (blue highlighted text) and remove the Asana task identifier so we can click on any links in the original text.

Thanks,
Clare

Hi @Clare_Stone and thank you so much for the report. So sorry for the trouble here; sounds like this could be a potential bug. Would you be able to forward me a screencast by DM or to post a screenshot on this thread to help us investigate the issue?

Looking forward to your reply!

I’ve gone ahead and filed a task for the Team to take a look into this and I’ll come back to you as soon as I have an update on my end!

Thank you for your help!

Natalia,
Was this solved? I have the same bug with hyperlinks.

Thanks, Rikke
