Introducing more granular permissions for custom fields!

Hi Asana community!

We’re excited to launch additional custom field permissions, giving you greater control in managing your projects and project data.

We are introducing access levels to custom fields! With this release, you can determine who can edit the details and settings of a custom field. Select between “Field admin,” “Editor,” and “User.” Learn more about each of these access levels and assigned permissions in this help article.

This feature is available in the following tiers:

  • Starter, Advanced, Enterprise, Enterprise+
  • Legacy Premium, legacy Business, legacy Enterprise

Rollout begins this week and does not impact existing custom field settings or permissions.

But wait, that’s not all – we’re working on additional granular permission controls for custom fields to support your most sensitive workflows. Stay tuned!

We look forward to your feedback.
