Improve search in rule builder

I like the search bar in the rule builder, but I find myself not finding the right trigger, condition, or action a lot of the times.

In my head I often fill in the dots for When…, Check if…, and Do this… and then pick keywords from the sentence to do the search.

A lot of times I type the word that comes to mind and I don’t get the right results.

For example:

• When… task is marked complete or incomplete
• Check if… task is milestone
• Do this… set task name

This seems to be because it doesn’t match the exact name. However, typing field does give a list of task and custom fields.

Maybe search keywords could be added to these rule options to make it work more intuitive?

On a related note, when choosing “Set task title to…” the box to set the title is called “Task Name”. This doesn’t seem consistent.

The no-code rule UI has a lot of benefits in making it easy to use. I do find that it relies quite heavily on mouse usage. One thing I think that can significantly improve the experience is to automatically place the cursor in the search bar after selecting a tigger, condition, or action. Related:

Update: I saw that task name is now consistently referred to as such. No more mention of task title.

I’m also spotting inconsistencies in the suggestions the rule search is giving, which now is overcomplete. Some attributes (fields/task types) even showing up twice as search result.
