We have an c# application used by our team members that is adding notes (via new stories) on tasks.
As authentication is performed using a shared PAT, is there any way to impersonate the user using the app (Ex: i 'd like to have for example, ZZZAutomationTool as the note writer instead of the name of the user that created the PAT)

Alas there is not currently a way to do that.
It’s something I’ve asked for from the Asana API folks and it’s on their list to possibly do in the future, but not possible now.
