Image file not loading when dragging file into task prematurely

Hello,

We noticed this morning that when you drag an image file into an asana task, it does not appear to actually attach to the task. If you use the standard paper clip to upload, it works, but not when you drag the file from a different window.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any known issue / solution?

Hi @Kelsea_Lopez, thanks for reaching out!

I just followed the steps and the attachment was added successfully. This could be a glitch with the browser See gift attached:

@Emily_Roman your gif doesn’t include the critical part: you need to click “Create” before the image is fully loaded…

Sorry for the delay here, Bastien! I investigated this further and for in-line images in descriptions or comments, you need to wait that the image is loaded (usually few seconds) before clicking “Create task”, otherwise it won’t get uploaded when you create the task.

If the image is not loading after a few seconds when you drop it in the task, it could be related to a browser issue and our support team can have a closer look!

Yes, I believe you described the workaround to avoid what I consider to be a bug  there are other places in the app where you can’t click until the image is loaded. Up to you to close it or not. Thanks!
