I do not have an "Add New" option in my boards, only "Add Task". How can I solve for this so I can apply templates to my projects?

I can turn things into templates, but I cannot apply a template to a project.

When you use the Customize > Task template > Add task template, it will appear in the menu in your screenshot, and also in the “+” menu beside every section, and when you click Add task in Board view.

Thank you! It looks like even if I add a task template, I have to manually contruct what is in it instead of it copying an existing task. However, I cannot apply that template to another board. Do I have to replicate this action for each board I want the template under?

Another way to add a task template is Convert task to template:

You can have task templates in project templates and thus make task templates available to new projects easily.

For existing projects with task templates, just re-home the resulting task to your destination project. That can be automated too. I explain that here:
