How to add text to role field for user in project by POST request

Hi @Dima5,

Unfortunately the Asana API doesn’t provide any access to update a user’s information, only to read it.

Hi ! I am having the same issue. This is technically not a user’s field because it can be different for each project. My guess is that it is a field on the project membership entity but the documentation does not provide any informations about that field when adding a user to a project.

Is there any way to be able to do this as we speak or is this something that is solely for use in the Asana interface?

This feature isnt really good if we cannot access it via the API…

Situation is still the same as I posted above - this is not currently available in the API.

Is this available yet? I also need this for specifying what role a suer will have to the project I am assigning them to.

Hi @anon39044883,

No, but keep yours eyes on the forum; there are some changes coming that might help in this regard (I don’t know for sure but keeping my fingers crossed).

Just adding a plus one to this request, would be very useful if we could add/update this information via the api.
