There should be a way that custom fields are created without color by default (I agree with this comment, so many colors in a project creates distraction), is a user would like to add a color to it is their choice, but when dealing with projects with multiple custom fields, I always remove the color because it creates distraction.
And just happens that today I’m removing the colors from a field and until yesterdat I would just click on the light gray and can move from one to another one easily, now today I have to click on the color and then click outside of it, otherwise keeps the color palette onscreen (makes no sense if I already selected a color, in the case the light gray to remove the color).
