Would love the ability to add a Notes section on the left sidebar, probably below “inbox”. This way I can see all recent notes that have been updated and I can easily find them without searching in a project.

Yes yes! Also one of the nice things about Messages was that we could pop it out and view our project while filling out the message simultaneously. If Notes had a similar pop out feature, we could fill in meeting notes without losing our project view.
Yes! Or even a notification setting for “Notes added” within a project.
My hunch is Asana might be reluctant to add something at this level of detail to the sidebar (but just a guess).
But a Home widget for this might deliver the same functionality and maintain UI consistency better. (Just my two cents!)
