Enhanced Rule Editing in Asana – Copy/Paste, Duplicate Triggers/Conditions/Actions

Dear Asana Team,

I would like to request an enhancement to the rule editor in Asana that would significantly improve usability and efficiency for users managing complex workflows. Specifically, I suggest introducing the ability to:

Duplicate, Copy & Paste Triggers/Conditions/Actions**:

  • It would be incredibly helpful to have the ability to copy/paste and duplicate individual triggers, conditions, and actions, both within a single rule and across different rules.
  • Additionally, it would be ideal if this feature worked across different projects, allowing for quick reuse of common rule components, without needing to manually recreate each element from scratch. This aligns with the idea of a global rules library, as mentioned here [https://forum.asana.com/t/global-rules-would-rule-create-a-library-for-rules], which would greatly enhance automation capabilities.

This feature would allow users to build and modify rules more efficiently, especially for more complex automations. As more companies move towards automation-heavy workflows, such functionality would greatly benefit Asana’s user base by streamlining the process.

May I suggest you vote for that one, and edit your post to just address your first point? I don’t think there’s a request which specifically addresses it; and it’s generally cleaner to focus on one request per Feedback post.
