Duplicate task notification should close automatically

Sometimes I have to duplicate a billion tasks, and every single one gives me a little pop-up to tell me that it was duplicated successfully.

And then it never. goes. away.

And I have to manually close every. single. one. Before I can read anything in my side panel.

Please fix this.

Just realized that when I delete a task, the notification pop up disappears on its own in just a few seconds. Why can’t the duplication pop-up work the same way?

Hi  @Katie_Kendle

I don’t know of a way for turning this feature off in Asana but may I ask why you duplicate tasks so often? If it is because you are creating a lot of the same tasks over and over, you might want to consider creating a project template that you can use to accomplish the same thing without a bunch of pop-ups that you have to close yourself. Asana has pre-made templates you can use or you can create your own custom templates for projects. Here is a guide on how to do that.

Hi @Katie_Kendle,

These notifications should disappear automatically If they don’t there may be an issue with your browser. I’d recommend following these steps and see if it helps: Asana supported browsers and troubleshooting steps | Product guide • Asana Product Guide

You can also upvote this thread to make these notifications: Ability to disable pop up notifications when creating/copying/deleting a project or task

We use templates extensively. This time I had a specific project and I needed a section for every entity, and I’ve got 75+ entities. Since we can’t duplicate sections, and my CSV uploader was failing at that moment, I was trying to just do it manually.

The real problem is a pop-up not disappearing on its own, but if it’s not a global issue, then… shrug.
