Due Dates rolling up in a Portfolio?

Hello, I have a portfolio with a number of projects. The projects and the sections/tasks associated to them all have a due date or date ranges using the default “due date” field. However, those dates for each project don’t seem to roll up to the portfolio level. Or I’m missing something. Essentially, I want to be able to see from the portfolio list or timeline view the start and end dates associated without having to manage two separate date fields at the porfolio level and then again at the task/project level.
