Coming from another marketing agency that used Workamajig for their review rounds, it would be great if Asana could borrow some more of WMJ’s features to make design review rounds even easier. I didn’t like much about WMJ, and much prefer Asana. However, WMJ did have design review rounds done nicely. In fact, it was the only thing I liked about that software.
Right now, we can drop comments onto PDFs in Asana (the “Add Feedback” function), which is great, but there’s no easy way to tie back to the PDF for our artists. They have to go to the parent task to view the original uploaded PDF to see exactly where the edit was requested. For single pages with minimal edits, it’s relatively easy. But when we have multi-page layouts being reviewed, it gets a little chaotic.
WMJ has a window that allows the user to view the PDF and the comment side-by-side. It also has a feature that let’s the review choose from a variety of icons (like arrows, underlines, and shapes) to point to the location of the edit.
WMJ also displays all the edits in one screen, and when a comment is clicked on, it immediately jumps to the page where the comment was left.
Not sure if there is something already built into Asana that’s similar to this process besides the “Add Feedback” option, but this process would help make our design review process SO much easier!
