I would like to see a function integrated into Asana so that when I am updating each task (which are projects in my case) I could simply enter “date” and todays date would automatically be entered. It would save my time of having to write it out each time.

Until Asana adds this, consider using an extension like TextExpander for this and many other snippet insertions (assuming you’re using the web version of Asana).
