Hello! Our team has a Master Portfolio that manages multiple sub-portfolios, each with projects in them. We are trying to create a dashboard tab on the Master Portfolio level and are running into troubles reporting on Projects.
Our goal is to create, for example, a bar graph that shows each sub-portfolio on the X-axis and the respective portfolio’s project counts on the Y-axis. The issue we are running into is that the Master Portfolio is being added as an item on the X-axis (with the bar showing the total count of projects in all sub-portfolios), with each of the Sub-portfolios and their counts also listed.
Another example is this same setup for a Donut chart. When trying to report on Project Count by sub-portfolio, the Master Portfolio is shown as an item with the total project count. This especially doesn’t work in the case of a Donut chart, as projects are being counted twice (under both the sub-portfolio and the Master Portfolio counts).
We’ve tried looking for filters that could remove the Master Portfolio from the views, however ‘Portfolio’ is not an option in the filter when reporting on Projects. Any ideas or suggestions on implementing these visuals would be greatly appreciated!
