I’m hoping there’s a way to direct CSV imported tasks into pre-made task templates. In my case, I use templates to assign an item type, populate several subtasks (which vary with each template), and sort tasks into appropriate columns with rules. Ideally, I’d like to import several hundred tasks from a CSV, assign a template based on a column in the CSV, and let my rules take care of the rest. I wouldn’t even mind if I had to import a different CSV for each template. Is there any way to do this?

I’m afraid that capability isn’t provided currently.
Perhaps you could expand your rules to trigger based on new tasks added (in this case by import) and with other criteria and do things like add subtasks that would otherwise be covered with task templates?
Or perhaps a third-party product (flowsana.net @Phil_Seeman)?

@anon39360623, you might be able to take advantage of the Add subtasks and/or Add tasks rule actions in our Flowsana integration to do some or all of what you describe. As Larry says, it’s a slightly different concept - i.e. use rules to cause the addition of tasks/subtasks instead of using task templates.
