Hello Everyone,
I see an option called Stacked Bar chart in Asana dashboards but its not allowing us to report on Estimated and Actual hours.
Note: Estimated and Actual hours are roll up field values in Project level from tasks.
And also why can’t we see all the custom field options in Asana gadgets?
It has become very tricky to build a dashboard just to show how much time we estimated and how much we Actually spent in one gadget view (rather than having multiple gadgets).
Does anyone have a workaround or solution?
Thanks,
Shruthi SJ
@Shruthi - what is your intended outcome? Stacked bar charts are a new feature that are best used when you want to measure task data grouped along two axes (e.g., count of tasks by their owner and a custom region field).
From what you’re describing, it sounds like you might want to use a formula field to tab the difference between actual and estimated time on each task, then perhaps group these by their assignee and maybe a custom field?
If you can give more context for what you want and what you’ve already tried, that would be helpful.
Thanks for your response, The requirement here is to show what is the Estimated Hours v/s Actual logged hours in a task/project against Assignee. As i mentioned right now in Asana this is possible with different gadgets (please see the screen shot) but what we wanted to show is in one single stacked bar chart (attached a screen shot called expected outcomes).
And also my another question was, why can’t we see all the custom fields in Asana dashboard gadgets.
Stacked Bar charts are apparently being rolled out, we’ve seen clients show us, so maybe wait a few days and test again!
