My conclusion after working with Asana intensively and comparing it to e.g. Notion: Asana does not care much about its customers. If this feature comes, I am sure they’ll just add it to the Business plan to force users to upgrade.

Added my vote here. Agree it would be a very helpful custom field type.

Is this for real, three years and no fix and almost no response from the company? Excel had this feature like 35 years ago. Moving back to Monday, I guess.

that’s the most amazing argument I have seen on this forum. Trolling aside, yes Asana does not have this feature, I hope this is coming and it feels like a natural next step. Believe it or not, millions of us are using Asana every day with great success without it, sometimes using workarounds (I developed the feature myself, waiting for the official one).

Asana has a policy of not making their roadmap public, so there aren’t any insights available on this. This post has lots more detail as to how Asana listens to our feedback:
Wat do we need to do to get this…It’s like really high priority to avoid double entries of tasks again into another spreadsheet software. Currently, we are using UNITO to sync data BIDIRECTIONALLY between asana to spreadsheet, but that comes with a lot of running cost.
Expecting these basics to be there
As far as I understand, most of the world s tasks will get associated with numbers at the end of the day and we unable to do anything with these number data we enter. Need this asap

Basic calculations will be enough to solve 99% of problems. Please make calculations possible. Reports without calculations are inferior reports.

Jut adding to the list of requests for this functionality. Whilst encouraging colleagues to use ASANA, this is one of the issues they complain about having to come out of Asana and then copy and paste computations back in.
