Completed tasks remain in lists, even in the Done list!

Background: I have spent 100 years using jira, fogbugz and other systems.

Asana is NOT a quick learn, and the default boards are… strange!

so, I now see that in the default boards, I can add a rule, to all columns, to check that the status is NOT completed. Fine (I do not need to see completed stuff! If I do, I will look for it! Why do the default boards show me everything? Won’t that quickly be cluttered beyond utility? Is the problem me?)

BUT, I mod the filter, but NOTHING CHANGES! The completed tasks ARE STILL THERE, because the rule only fires when a card is moved into the board?

How do I make Asana just behave like a todo list (for starters!) ?

With a filter you can see only completed or incomplete tasks. When you use a filter the view changes instantly. You do have to save the view, otherwise when you come back the filter will be gone.

Hi @Rafael_Zimberoff

Welcome to the forum.

Here is a screenshot of what Herve shared with you. Hope this helps a bit.

On the comment of how to get Asana working as a to-do list, perhaps this help article might assist

Thanks!
That is what I want!

But Asana has so many screens, I have no idea where that Filter option is!

So… good info, but not actionable :frowning:
