Upvoting this too! Would really love a way to add syntax highlighting to monospace formatting
+1, Lack of proper formatting of code snippets makes us look into alternative solutions like the new Project management tools from Github instead.

Come on, Asana Product Team!
People have been asking for this since 2017! And for every one person who comes in here and upvotes/comments, I guarantee there are at least 100 more who really want this feature but haven’t piped up about it. Also, I’m confident there are plenty of companies who have had to immediately rule out Asana as a PM tool because of this shortcoming.
We’re not asking you to invent new, complex functionality here—this would not be hard to implement, relatively speaking.
It’s [well past] time to knock this low-hanging feature request fruit off its branch.
PLEASE, stop giving the cold shoulder to your entire technical user base.
I can’t believe this feature since 2017 hasn’t been implement yet. It’s the basic to manage any project.

Totally need this, I’m “attempting” to format small code snippets to explain things to our other developers in Asana, and it just looks awful (due to my skills of not been able to use the editor) but having code formatted blocks would be lovely. Thanks team.
p.s. Oh yeah, if I could spend all my votes on this, I would, as this is my current number one need for a long time now.
And finally (after I removed my previous comment) it seems after reading around the Asana team are fully aware of this of request. They have had a go at some kind of solution, however I do not think they should have called it a markdown solution, as my understanding of markdown is different to theirs (sorry Asana team x)
For example a basic markdown test I do is use the hash symbol to see title generation when viewing the content.
# This is a title test
Produces…
This is a title test
As such… I think this is the minimum right?
