Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
Clicking on a link like: https://app.asana.com/0/:projectId/progress
in a task’s Description doesn’t take you to the project’s Progress tab (but if you Ctrl-Click to open link in a new window it does)
Steps to reproduce:
Copy the URL for a project’s Progress tab like: Log in - Asana
Paste it into a task’s Description with the task in List View
Now click the new link in the Description: You’re not taken to the Progress tab
Repeat step 3 but using Ctrl-Click (open link in new window): You are correctly taken to the Progress tab
HI @lpb and thanks for reporting this issue. I can’t seem to be able to reproduce the issue you’re describing; are you able to reproduce with a private window and another browser?
Hi @Marie, I just sent a PM with a screencast. That’s showing Firefox reproducing the problem, and I forgot to report the same thing happens in a Chrome Incognito window (as well as Chrome regular and Firefox). I might not have explained it well so I hope the screencast helps.
Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the bug you’re experiencing:
I would like to link in some tasks descriptions straight to the progress section of a project. By copy/paste the URL, it always links to the main view of the project.
Please advice.
Steps to reproduce:
See above
Browser version:
Upload screenshots below:
Name of the Project: “PRJ🌐Internationalisierung - LizzaWW” Link associated Log in - Asana but still leads to Log in - Asana…
Welcome to the Forum @Caspar and thank you so much for taking time to report this!
I just tried to reproduce this on my end and I had the same result as you so I’ve gone ahead and filed a task with our Development Team. I’ll make sure to keep you posted as soon as I have an update on this topic!
I reported this a few months ago but it didn’t get followed up, it seems. However, note in my post that you can Ctrl-Click that link to open in a new window and that does go to the Progress tab:
