Hello everyone !
Wondering if this is already an existing functionality that maybe I didn’t realize.
Is there a way for us to directly circle/draw on images that are attached in asana?
This is to better clearly specify what the request is to change in the image. For ex. circling a specific copy or section of the page vs verbal instructions
I know there is the existence of “Add Feedback” in the above screenshot, which creates a subtask when selecting a specific area of the image, but due to our team’s request to keep tasks ‘flat’ i.e main tasks only without subtask , was wondering if there is an alternative to this (:
Thank you!
Sarah
@Sarah_Yeung,

How to give feedback & approvals | Asana Help Center
Add feedback allows you to place an automatically-numbered anchor wherever you want on the artifact (though not draw a circle) which is tied to a subtask.
You could move these subtasks to be top-level tasks if you wanted to. (For the benefit of others reading here, outlawing such subtasks where they’re helpful is not something most Forum Leaders would advocate.)
Thanks,
Larry
Thank you Larry ! If I’m understanding correctly, outside of Add Feedback to anchor a subtask, there is no way to directly free form draw onto the image itself?
Definitely not bashing subtasks ! Simply not used for our team in the funky ways team develop their own macabre work habits and solutions in a jammed up asana adoption
That’s right, @Sarah_Yeung; nothing free-form; just plunk down a number with a yellow circle around it wherever you click the cursor.
Fantastic quote–can I steal this!?
LOL absolutely. Let’s make that the official slogan
