Changing existing tasks into subtasks under a parent task?

I want to move some exisiting tasks in a project under a ‘parent task’. Instead of retyping the due date, description, and so on, is there a way to move an existing task, with its information and all, as a subtask under an existing task, or do you have to manually do that?
