Right now, whenever you star something, it automatically gets added to the sidebar. This can become unwieldy (see this idea for something that might help fix it). Sometimes I want to favorite something so I can find it quickly, but I don’t necessarily want to have it always accessible to me.
For example: I want my Starred portfolios at the top because I know I access them a lot and getting to them is easy enough via the Portfolios tile on the sidebar, but I just want the portfolios at the top of the Portfolios page, rather than in my sidebar.
Workaround: I have added my favorite portfolios to a “Favorites” portfolio which seems kinda silly, but at least then I can just have that one favorited instead of 10 of them that I want to access without having them in my sidebar.
(Maybe this is solved with this roll-out? But in looking at the documentation, I don’t think so.)
