If you create a custom task type and just set a custom Type name and rename the existing two Status options without creating any additional Status options, then your renamed task type and Status options are not saved.
You have to add at least one additional Status option in order for your changes to be saved.

I’m having trouble replicating this issue on my end, but I might be overlooking something. Could you clarify the steps, please? Does the “Done” button remain greyed out until you add an additional Status option?

I just followed my same steps and didn’t have this issue, so they must have fixed it. All good now.
