🪲 Bug whilst editing statuses of custom task types

This is driving me bonkers! :exploding_head:

Recreate bug:

  1. Customize>Task Templates>Create a New custom task type
  2. As an example of this bug, edit the 1st default status from ‘Not started’ to ‘Not yet started’
  3. Once you type the ‘y’ of the word ‘yet’ the cursor jumps to the end of the last word, in this case ‘started’
  4. You end up typing ‘Not ystartedet’

This bug is making it incredibly painful to edit statuses of task types.. please fix :folded_hands:

@Forum-team , please test and escalate as a English Forum > Critical Bugs
Thanks!

Wow very interesting exactly as you described I was able to re-create it as well!!! Thats very weird it seems to also happen for all the other fields as well. For In progress as well as the Completed fields. Completely erasing everything within the fields to retyping the entire word seems to fix the issue when typing what you need. But, even after saving and returning back to edit custom task types the same issue still occurs

Even creating completely new status options the same bug occurs not just for the presets. Interesting

edit: This also happens in the desktop app and while using the browser as well :exploding_head: now this is driving me bonkers @Richard_Sather

Interesting… even while copying and pasting words the issue still persists :face_with_bags_under_eyes:

edit again: even simply typing a space the issue still persists

Hi @Levar_M , thanks for testing and confirming it’s not just me!

Yes, the bug applies to ALL status options, for whatever you try and type or edit anything - I just used the ‘Not started’ one as an example, in my OP.

Hello @Richard_Sather and @Levar_M - I was also able to recreate this. I will be submitting a bug report and will report back as soon as I hear something back.

Seeing this too.

That’s an odd one.

Good to see it marked as critical on the same day.

@Richard_Sather - this is a feature, not a bug. I LOVE when it does that. Adds variety to my Asana. Don’t be so short-sighted. /s
